LESS THAN FORTY-EIGHT HOURS
until the North American kick-off of U2 360.
In the last four hours, I’ve listened to two complete U2 shows (Eugene Popmart and NY Elevation 10.25.01, FYI), watched part of one on DVD (Vertigo Chicago, May 7th, 2005, my first Vertigo show for those keeping numbers), driven my very good-natured wife semi-mad with OCD setlist minutia, and drank a six-pack of Guinness in honor of this event. I truly care more about U2 than I do about almost anything on earth with the notable exceptions of my wife, my cats, my dog, my parents, and my in-laws and a very select group of my friends. (Guys, if you’re reading this, you know me well enough to know that this isn’t weird – it’s just the way things are, like weather and Chicago’s shitty CTA system.) Everything and everyone else is and subject to harsh evaluation. In anticipation of this, I offer you, rocking reader, these clips. Enjoy. And if you don’t have tickets, go to Buckingham Fountain, get a drink, and listen to the show from outside (which I did for a Chicago Popmart show in 1997 for which I didn’t have tickets).
The Claw loves you. Even though it’s freakishly huge and kinda scary-looking.
